ASI Government Focuses on Consulting and Advisory Services Under New Owner
ARLINGTON, Va., March 15, 2017—ASI Government announced today that private equity firm Excellere Partners has sold the consulting and advisory business as ASI Government LLC to current President and Chief Executive Officer Timothy Cooke, and divested the Knowledge & Learning Products Division, consisting of the VAO® and relating offerings.
Going forward, ASI Government LLC will focus entirely on providing market-leading consulting, advisory services, and support to organizations seeking exceptional mission and business value through transformed procurement and program management. More than 100 ASI Government consultants are serving clients in the Defense Department and military service, civilian agencies and the intelligence community.
For more than 20 years, federal civilian, defense, homeland security and intelligence community program and procurement organizations have relied on ASI Government as a pioneer and gold-standard partner in cost-effectively delivering complex, high-value, high-risk acquisitions that increase government’s capability, performance and service to the American people.
Mr. Cooke will continue to manage the company’s business and consulting operations. He is joined in building the new company by tested, trusted public sector practitioners David Shields, former managing director of the U.K. Government Procurement Service and William Randolph, former Assistant Director for Operations Support and Director of Acquisition Management for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement at the Homeland Security Department.
The leadership includes Peggy Alfonso, with more than 25 years’ experience in federal change management, strategy and business transformation, 2017 Federal 100-winner and civilian agency business lead Ann-Marie Johnson, Anne Laurent, 30-year veteran analyst of federal acquisition, national security expert, Army Reserve Col. Gary Winch, and Tom Fortunado, former Army officer, Bronze Star recipient and Defense business lead.
“As they have since 1996, federal agencies will continue to be able to turn to ASI Government LLC for unrivaled expertise, trusted experience and unparalleled thought leadership,” said Cooke. “They can count on us to support them in adopting agile, data-based, cloud-powered, secure and forward-looking approaches today and to blaze the trail to tomorrow’s best new capabilities.
“It is in ASI’s DNA to always lead in identifying new, more effective and efficient and outcome-oriented ways to drive government procurement to deliver program mission delivery,” Cooke said. “That is evident in our history and today. It is exemplified in our recent work to build better contract management with the Professional Services Council and in concert with FCW’s Steven Kelman and IBM’s Dan Chenok; and as innovators in category management led by David Shields.
Mr. Cooke also serves as chairman for the 2017 Acquisition Excellence Conference, coming June 13, the leading annual federal acquisition education and training event produced by the American Council for Technology (ACT) and Industry Advisory Council (IAC).
