Gary leads ASI’s work at the Defense and Homeland Security departments and with the Intelligence Community. He has more than 25 years of experience as a business leader and is well known for developing partner relationships with other companies and grooming next-generation leaders to serve government customers.
Gary joined ASI in 2014 as the leader of ASI’s National Security practice. Over his career, he supported acquisitions in six Homeland Security Department organizations, eight Defense Department organizations, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the Intelligence Community. Gary has led engagements addressing critical challenges by providing ASI’s expertise in acquisition acceleration and program/portfolio management. He also serves as an ASI program and IT management and process improvement expert.
Along with his extensive experience managing major projects, Gary is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). He has led large implementations in acquisition program management, systems integration, custom software design and development, enterprise architecture, IT assessment, financial management, cost analysis and technology process improvement.
Gary is a Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve and has completed deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan as the Chief of Information Operations for two special operations task forces.
Before joining ASI, Gary was a Director in the Federal Technology Practice of Deloitte Consulting where he led Deloitte’s Army Account. He earned his B.S. in Computer Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an M.B.A. from Auburn University.
